Nowports is the first digital freight forwarder in Latin America. Besides moving goods from and to this area, it invests many of its efforts on developing technology to deliver a complete, efficient, transparent, and secure service. Thanks to its platform and multi-disciplined team, it can provide smart, AI enriched routes and rates, real-time tracking, access to digital documents, communications through a collaborative space, and reports with predictions. As part of its end-to-end service, it provides international merchandise insurance, connections with customs agents, pre-customs clearing inspections, and smart containers for its maritime shipments, allowing more accurate tracking. Founded in 2018 by Alfonso de los Rios and Maximiliano Casal, it was one of the few Latin American companies accepted in Y Combinator. This Silicon Valley accelerator helped companies like Airbnb and Dropbox. From there, they got advice from prominent business leaders and went through its first round of investment. Currently, the company has raised 8.6 million US dollars in funding. Since it began its expansion, Nowports has made its stakeholders a priority, investing in the growth and welfare of each member of its team, and participating in social initiatives. In 2020, it collaborated in the development of technologies to visualize COVID-19 information, opened to the public its tracking tool for shipments, offered to move emergency equipment at cost, and provided content for the speedy recovery of supply chains. Nowports is a company with Latin American roots, with its largest office in Monterrey, Mexico. It has more than 90 employees and active offices in three countries. Being a young company does not limit its knowledge, as part of its team has over 15 years of experience in the logistics industry. Soon, it will start operations in several South American countries.
